Русский фольклор в переводе на английский

Жил-был у бабушки серенький козлик…

Once lived the kid in the grannie’s hut,
Heigh-ho, heigh-ho – the little grey kid.

The grannie liked this kid so much,
Heigh-ho, heigh-ho – she liked it so much.

The kid had gone to the tangled wood,
Heigh-ho, heigh-ho – to the tangled wood.

The cruel grey wolves had attacked it there,
Heigh-ho, heigh-ho – had attacked it there.

The horns and the bones had left from the kid,
Heigh-ho, heigh-ho – only horns and bones.

Ехал грека через реку…

Once a Greek
Crossed a creek,
And looked in the creek
A crayfish so big;
Jabbed a Greek
His hand to the creek,
And crayfish so big
Gripped his palm with a trick;
What the ache, what the ache,
Such the great mistake!

Катилася торба с великого горба...

Once day rolled the carpet-sack
Down the hill, not up and back.
Bread, salt, sweetwater and wheat were inside.
With whom would you like all these meals divide?
Make faster your rate,
‘Cause good people can’t wait.

По-моему -- великолепно! Браво, Андрей! Подхватываю эстафету...
PS: У "Греки..." концовка классно решена! Просто -- Аргентина-Ямайка -- 5:0... Бурные и продолжительные...
